T-Ball Time

Last night Brayden had a game and did sooo good! Actually, the whole team did great!! The first time at bat he hit the ball really good and pawpaw got that on video. I don't know why I didn't think to take any video. Therefore, I got jealous because it was a good hit and he got it on video and I didn't. So, I had to get my camera out to see what I could catch. Need less to say, his next at bat he missed them all so he had to hit off the tee. Which was okay because it was still a good hit. Then he got to be on the pitchers mound (not being the pitcher) and did a great job stopping and catching the ball then throwing to first base. I think he liked playing at that position, whatever that may be when you aren't actually playing pitcher. Then his last turn at bat I got on video. You may not be able to tell from the video but he is a fast little booger!!

Mommy & Avery Time

Since I don't feel like I ever do anything with Avery (especially play with her) we decided to go to the park together and picnic. She was excited and wanted to help fix her lunch, that she did not eat. That's right . . . we packed a lunch and didn't buy one! Anyway, her lunch consisted of pepperoni's, jello and peanut butter crackers. She took about 2-3 bites of jello, ate 2 crackers and maybe 2 pepperoni's. Once we got there her mind was not on eating but on riding her bike. I couldn't believe we were the only one's there. I really think she was bored because there weren't any other kids there and she didn't have a playmate (mama isn't much of a playmate at the park other than a swinger). After about 45 minutes, including lunch, she said she was ready to go home. I couldn't believe it!

Shattered

This is what happens when the yard man turned his lawnmower around in the driveway. A rock hit the dining room window and shattered it. Avery was so afraid she started to ball her eyes out. She thought the house was going to fall in and then we wouldn't have a house anymore.

Mother Goose

Avery & AnaRose
Avery had her first school program this past week and she did a good job. It was titled "Mother Goose". It was only the three K3 classes and they sang about 6 songs. She had been talking about this program for like two months and was so excited about it. It was the shortest school program I think I had ever been to . . . which was nice! At the end of the program she got her picture made with mother goose (which was one of the k3 teachers).

Easter Camping Trip

Well, it is almost like a ritual now. We go camping at Easter time. The kids love it and there is no entertaining either. The kids got to dye their eggs, play with a pinata, ride bikes, fish, go to the playground and of course watch tv. We had great weather despite the wind blowing us around.

On Easter Sunday we usually pack up and leave to go over to my aunt and uncles house for and egg hunt and eat lunch. We hid more eggs than I could have counted. Unfortunately Brayden and Avery didn't find the silver or golden egg this year. But they did have fun with their cousins Wyatt and Myers.

What we have been up to!

Well, since I haven't blogged in a while I guess I better get you updated.

First of all, in February we went to Disney World and had a blast!! Luckily the kids still talk about it so I know they enjoyed it. We did so many different things and went to lots of different parks. I wish we could have spent more time but the kids act like we will be going back soon . . . let's hope so. Our hotel had a really neat pool and I tried to avoid it the whole time but the kids stayed on my case about it. Thank goodness their uncle David got in the pool with them.

Then about a week later after getting back from Disney, Meece and Papaw invited us to go with them to Louisiana to a Mardi Gras parade. We tried that last year in Natchez and it was a disaster. Thankfully this time other than it being really cold we had good weather. We had a long wait for the parade but the kids hung in there. The next day we went on a wildlife safari. Can't remember the name of it but it was awesome!! A little gross for me but awesome. There were big animals, little animals, tall animals and hairy ones. Animals that slobber everywhere and some that like to roll in poop. It was a blast and I recommend everyone go!! Later that day we went on a swamp tour. I've always wanted to do it but wasn't too sure about it. Despite the weather being a little cool and windy we did see a few small alligators, hogs (dead & alive) and some large birds. Maybe next time we will see some larger ones. Brayden and Avery enjoyed it, especially once they got to be the captain of the boat with Capt. Jerry.

In March, Avery had her very first dance competition. Oh, she cried and cried not to have to go to it. Thank goodness Meme came over and she got fired up. Once we stepped inside the gym where the competition was her eyeballs got huge (with excitement). I think it's going to be a good experience. She had a great time and was one of the best out there!

Later in the month one of Avery's friends had a birthday party at the Pampered Princess Spa & Salon. Can I just say one word . . . CUTE!! She started off loving it by getting her nails done. Then it was time to move over and get the hair done. What a disaster!!! She already has a rats nest of hair and when it was time to brush and comb through it the tears started flowing!! It took her forever to get over it. And the mean mom that I am I made her sit through and get it done regardless of all the tears and flailing (sp) arms and legs. Once she got her make-up put on not only did she look pretty but she looked like a princess. She actually had a great time once she got over the hair episode.

On the first day of spring break the kids were on me about "doing something fun". I think it was raining that day so we went bowling. I sat out of this game but they still enjoyed themselves. Another exciting thing that happened over spring break is that Brayden FINALLY lost that dangling top front tooth. People begged and pleaded with him and bribed him with $100 and he still wouldn't pull it. Then one night Bryan couldn't stand it any longer. As Brayden was getting out of the shower he went back there and pinned him down and tapped it out. It all started off as laughs then turned into cries (once he knew what daddy was actually doing) then it turned into "mom, look!!". "I lost my tooth!!". Then he had to call Pawpaw and brag about it.

Then one day me and my friend, Heather, took the boys to a painting place called Easely Amused and let the boys take a painting class. Brayden absolutely loved it and was so proud of what he painted. I know we will be there again for the summer!!

I guess about 2 or 3 weeks ago we went out to my dad's house. The weather was beautiful and Meece mentioned going walking in the woods and follow the creek. I probably don't need to say too much more. But I will! Those two kids (and the dog) had so much fun. We took their rain boots and we followed the creek and the kids got to walk through it, play in it, find neat rocks, pick flowers, find walking sticks, dodge HUGE antbeds and have a great time outdoors. Once we got back to the house we all went fishing and we all caught lots of fish. We didn't keep them but it was a good fishing day. We were all worn out . . . especially Allie (the dog).

I recently joined the Rankin County Junior Auxillary and it is Charity Ball time. Needless to say, prego didn't want to find a maternity dress and it was too difficult finding a non maternity dress but fortunately I found one. We had a good time regardless of the cold front that came through that day. Of all days, it had to be that one!!

This past weekend the kids were invited to a birthday party that was an Easter egg hunt. It was such beautiful weather and the kids thought it was the funnest thing. There was an Easter bunny to get your picture made with, a jumper, trampoline, swings and an egg hunt. I mean, what more could you want?? With all that being said, I had to go home and hide all the eggs again and again and again.

The new guitar

Now that Avery got a guitar for her birthday she will now let me watch her perform her concerts she puts on in her room EVERYDAY!! She loves to sing some Taylor Swift. Watch her facial expressions. I wish I could put all the videos I take of her on my blog.

Avery's Birthday Party

Well, i'm a little late posting the birthday stuff and everything after that but oh, well. Avery had a great birthday and a great turn out of friends and family. She had known for a whole year that she wanted her party at pump it up with a Dora the Explorer cake. So I wanted to make that happen. Need less to say, three days before that party my "cake maker" called and said she was not going to be able to do it (she was ordered to best rest). Who else was I to call? Walmart. So me and Avery went there to look through the cakes and she found a Dora cake. We placed our order. We were all happy. It was Dora and it was chocolate. Okay, that night after she was in bed Avery comes walking in my room crying. I want a Bolt cake!! What happened to the Dora cake we wanted and talked about for a whole year?? She saw the Bolt cake design in the book at the bakery and totally changed her mind. So we call Walmart the next day and make the change. We are really happy now!!! I thought it was the cheeziest cake but Avery loved it! And it tasted good!
